Job summary

The Butler Runner position at St. Regis Abu Dhabi supports the Butler Team to centralise the renowned St. Regis Butler Service, coordinating with Engineering, Private Dining and Housekeeping to exceed guest expectations.

Located in Nation Tower, Corniche, Abu Dhabi, this full-time role requires a high school diploma and at least six months in a related position; you’ll restock pantries and assist on busy floors while delivering discreet, personalised service in a luxury hotel environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 6 months related work experience in hospitality or service industry.

Responsibilities

• Get a thorough hand over from the previous shift and communicate via the GoConcierge system.
• Attend daily briefings and stay aware of hotel events and occupancy metrics.
• Prepare a handover to the next shift and assist on floors when early morning or late evening shifts are unavailable.
• Cover floors while the assigned floor butler is on break and ensure smooth operations.
• Restock Butler Pantries with supplies (coffee beans, tea, biscuits, sugars, fresh milk, lemon & mint, honey).

Job Requirement

The Butler Runner supports the Butlers to centralise the St. Regis Butler Service. The assistance from the runner is not limited to the Butler Department. Smooth coordination with other departments is vital to ensure guest’s needs are met and exceeded on a daily basis. The Runner is providing their assistance to smoothen out the operation for the Butler whilst communicating and working together with other departments such as Engineering, Private Dining and Housekeeping. The Butler Runner is responsible for monitoring a general stock of food/beverage items used by butlers to deliver a service (milk/honey/coffee/lemon/mint/ginger etc.)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Get a thorough hand over from the previous shift, communication via GoConcierge and ensure Dect phone GXP Phone are handed over as per the policy.
• Attend the daily briefings; well aware of hotel events, general metrics as occupancy, BAR rate, amount of arrivals/departures
• Prepare a handover to the next shift and/handling floors in the absence of early morning or late evening shift butler
• Covering floors section while assigned floor butler having a break
• Restock Butler Pantries with supplies as listed below:
• Coffee beans
• Tea
• Biscuit
• Sugars
• Fresh milk
• Lemon & fresh mint leaves
• Honey

Preferred Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
