Job summary

The St. Regis Abu Dhabi is seeking a dedicated Butler to attend to guests in Nation Tower, Corniche, Abu Dhabi. You will manage guest preferences, assist with room setup, and coordinate with Housekeeping, Front Office and IRD to ensure impeccable service.

Qualifications

• 1 year butler work experience in a luxury hotel.

Responsibilities

• Obtain thorough handover and ensure phones are received and returned.
• Ensure all guest preferences are taken and actioned.
• Welcome the guest upon arrival and familiarize them with the room and hotel.
• Perform in-room check in and in-room check-out as requested.
• Provide butler services such as unpacking, pressing, shoeshine and beverages.
• Serve wake up tea/coffee at requested times.
• Deliver guest laundry/pressing as requested.
• Handle guest complaints and document in the butler report and inform the duty supervisor.
• Write logs for ongoing events and guest challenges.
• Prepare arrival reports and action on special comments.
• Update guest information or comments using required computer systems.
• Restock the Butler pantry with coffee, tea, water, and necessary items.
• Tidy pantry and wash cups, plates, utensils before end of shift.

The Butler attends to every guest’s needs and wants. Butler is responsible for the quality of every guest’s stay and welcoming the guests and makes them feel at home. Setting up guests rooms prior to arrival, checking in/out guests and upkeep the quality throughout their stay. Work closely with Housekeeping, Front Office and In Room Dining (IRD). Butler has to be very knowledgeable about all aspects of the hotel. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Get a thorough hand over from the previous shift and ensure dect phones and GXP phones are received and returned daily
• Ensure all guest preferences are taken and actioned
• Welcome the guest upon arrival, and familiarize them with everything in the room and hotel.
• Perform in Room check in and in room check as and when requested.
• Rooming all arrival guests and all butler services are well explained and actively offered such as unpacking, pressing, shoeshine and complimentary beverage
• Serve wake up tea/coffee at the appropriate times.
• Serve coffee/tea as and when the guests require.
• Pick-up and deliver guest laundry/ pressing based on guest requested time.
• Handling guest complaints and record in the butler report and inform the duty supervisor about the incident and follow-up with resolve the issue
• Write logs for on-going events and guest challenges
• Check the list in go concierge of requested wake up Tea or Coffee services
• Prepare the arrival reports for the day and go over the arrival list and look for special comments and /or remarks then action.
• Take care of any guest requests and complete them within the appropriate time. If unable to complete within your shift, ensure to handover to next shift accordingly
• Work with the required computer systems to update guest information or comments for future reference
• Carry out shoe shine and delivery.
• Assist the guest with packing and unpacking services.
• Restock the Butler pantries such as coffee, tea, water, sugar, milk, tray linens, napkins and necessities in order to keep in working order at any time
• Tidy up pantry, washing of cups, plates, utensils before the end of the shift

Required Qualifications
Related Work Experience: 1 year butler work experience required in a luxury hotel.
