Butcher/meat Cutter

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Butcher / Meat Cutter to join our supermarket team. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of meat preparation, excellent knife skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cut, trim, bone, tie, and grind meats (beef, pork, poultry, etc.) according to customer specifications and company standards.
2. Ensure the meat case is well-stocked, clean, and visually appealing.
3. Provide exceptional service by answering customer questions and offering preparation tips or product recommendations.
4. Monitor product freshness and ensure proper rotation and storage of meat products.
5. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work area in compliance with food safety regulations.
6. Weigh, package, label, and price meat products accurately.
7. Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as a butcher or meat cutter in a supermarket or meat shop.
2. Strong knowledge of meat cuts and safe cutting techniques.
3. Excellent knife handling and butchering skills.
4. Ability to work in a cold environment and lift heavy items.
5. Good communication and customer service skills.
6. Food Handler Certification (preferred or required depending on local regulations).
7. High school diploma or equivalent is a plus.
