As a Business Support Officer, your role will be to provide comprehensive system services and support to business units by ensuring that business needs are reflected fully into the supporting systems either through development or exploitation. The individual should be able to identify and understand business needs and objectives, suggest practical functional solutions, and evaluate conflicting requirements. This includes being the centre of excellence to ensure that systems are supporting business initiatives, either through business data management or defining the functional change requirements in projects and/or enhancements, ensuring such changes are business tested, communicated, and trained to the business users.

In This Role, You Will
  1. Assist the end-user community in using and utilising the systems efficiently and recommend initiatives to improve the overall user experience.
  2. Execute user acceptance testing based on prepared test scripts and provide documentation of the results for review prior to roll-out. Archive the test scripts and results for reporting and future references.
  3. Produce reports using tools available in the IT catalogue to support finance, audit, management, and operational statistics.
  4. Provide ad hoc and planned internal training or support for business units during the deployment of new applications or enhancements, if required.
  5. Support end-user community on functional clarifications and provide workarounds for application functionality to ensure uninterrupted operation. Participate in functional implementation support for new enhancements and projects.
  6. Assist the project team on functional requirements documentation and user acceptance testing, as assigned.
  7. Coordinate with different teams to identify changes between new system enhancements and current standard operating procedures, ensuring updates in manuals, SOPs, and online links.
  8. Provide regular updates on assigned projects or tasks to the section team lead.
  9. Manage, update, and maintain system application access based on user roles. Maintain business data through business rules and tables.
  10. Identify opportunities to improve processes/procedures and system functionality.
  11. Assist the project manager in developing project management documents such as budgets, schedules, scope statements, and plans.
  12. Handle administrative tasks related to project management, including managing invoices, purchase orders, and inventory reports.
  13. Supervise the project procurement process.
  14. Schedule stakeholder meetings, document discussions, and generate reports.
  15. Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders and project managers.
  16. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience within EKAS Airport Operations
  • 12 years of schooling

  • Experience with automated testing tools preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Degree or honors in Aviation, IT, or a related field.
  • Experience in Airport or Airline Operations, with at least 3 years in airport operation-related systems or business domains.
  • Experience in process mapping, change management, and data analytics.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deep knowledge of business environment, applications, and industry standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of software development cycle and user acceptance testing experience is desirable.
