The role of the Business Sales Executive - Shipping (Arabic Speaking) is to serve as a Company ambassador, overseeing day-to-day sales and focusing on the long-term interests of the business within the Middle East region. The role pursues new business and works alongside customer support with the Company buying processes and choice of suppliers.

Functional Responsibilities

  1. Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms with Airlines / sea freight carriers and suppliers i.e. Hauliers / warehouses.
  2. Deal with overseas agents buying.
  3. Consolidate current business to enable better purchasing.
  4. Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies.
  5. Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  6. Assess, manage, and mitigate risks.
  7. Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.
  8. Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.
  9. Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
  10. Help meet sales targets, reporting monthly on achievements to facilitate commission payments.
  11. Identify which products/markets to push and communicate this information to the sales division at weekly meetings.
  12. Conduct sustained market research leading to market intelligence that channels sales drives.
  13. Ensure all routed business is followed up with a sales call.
  14. Engage in outside sales with own client base, maintaining targets and commission structure.
  15. Maintain sales volume and margins while staying abreast of changing trends, economic indicators, and competitor activity.
  16. Establish and adjust selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.

Role/Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree.
  2. 3 years regional sales experience in freight forwarding.
  3. Advanced problem-solving skills.
  4. Ability to prioritize.
  5. Strong organizational skills.
  6. Strong oral communication skills.
  7. Detail-oriented.
  8. Ability to process big-picture items.
  9. Microsoft 365 experience.
  10. English is essential.
  11. Arabic speaking.
