Job Description

The School of Management is seeking highly qualified faculty members specializing in Business Law to join our academic team. The successful candidates will play a vital role in enhancing our programs, contributing to curriculum development, and supporting the school’s academic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Serve as the program's subject matter expert
2. Support the Program Chair / Coordinator in daily operations
3. Ensure curriculum alignment with university standards and UAE Ministry of Higher Education requirements
4. Engage in teaching, research, development, and community outreach activities
5. Participate in administrative duties and community service

Teaching And Academic Duties

1. Instruct graduate and undergraduate courses in the relevant field
2. Maintain accurate student records and submit timely grades
3. Deliver and update course syllabi
4. Assist in curriculum evaluation and suggest improvements
5. Hold regular office hours and support student learning
6. Advise students, particularly those at academic risk
7. Recommend learning resources and materials
8. Contribute to new course development
9. Supervise independent studies
10. Stay current with disciplinary developments through research and professional engagement

Administrative And Community Engagement

1. Advise students during registration periods
2. Attend faculty and departmental meetings
3. Participate in orientation and professional development workshops
4. Engage in community outreach activities
5. Support the School's accreditation efforts
6. Represent the Canadian University Dubai in professional settings

Qualification & Experience

The minimum amount of education and experience that an individual needs to perform the essential duties of the position are as follows:

1. Ph.D. in Law (or a closely related field) obtained from top 500 QS-ranked universities, preferably western accredited universities.
2. Demonstrated record of teaching effectiveness and research publications in highly ranked Scopus journals.
3. Applicants with experience within a Canadian Institution are preferred.
4. Middle East teaching experience is preferred.

Please note: Preference will be given to candidates with Canadian affiliation, including Canadian qualifications, lecturing at a Canadian University, or some linkage to Canada / North America.
