Business Improvement Officer

Synopsis
Monitor and coordinate the execution of a subset of activities or short-term projects within established procedures and standards to ensure project activities are completed according to plan, schedule, and budget to reduce risk exposure.

Accountabilities

1. Gather, consolidate, and review business requirements with project sponsors/customers to ensure proper scoping of the project.
2. Participate in drafting project and solution approaches to ensure they reflect business needs and are compliant with established methodologies.
3. Conduct trials and analyze the viability of proposed solutions.
4. Review and analyze program/project data to identify issues and risks, ensuring corrective actions are planned and implemented by Project Management.
5. Consolidate and submit program status reports to senior program/project management on time and comprehensively for effective decision-making.
6. Develop and present internal communication plans to senior management to ensure relevant information is available to stakeholders and project teams for effective decision-making.
7. Monitor project/program execution to ensure all processes adhere to program policies.
8. Participate in the development of best practice documents to contribute to PMO knowledge exchange across the organization.
9. Monitor, enhance, and execute the department OPEX program in line with identified KPIs.

Education & Experience

1. Minimum Diploma (2 years or more). Project management qualification (e.g., PMP, APM, or PMI membership) or knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile Project Management) is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience within terminal operations in a leading role such as Team Leader and/or Supervisor.
3. Data analytical experience is preferred.
4. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
