Job description

Our client is seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Head -Pump and Collar to lead the growth and development of the pump and collar division. This senior role will be responsible for overseeing sourcing, business development, client relationship management, and category strategy for the pump and collar portfolio. The Business Head will play a key role in expanding product offerings, improving profit margins, and strengthening partnerships across the fragrance packaging value chain.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth expertise in fragrance packaging components, a strong commercial mindset, and a proactive approach to market development.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Business Leadership :

  • Define and execute the business strategy for the Pump and Collar division to meet growth targets.
  • Analyze market trends, client demands, and competitive positioning to identify business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align the divisions goals with overall company objectives.
  • Lead commercial activities for pumps and collars, developing new client pipelines while maintaining strong relationships with existing partners.
  • Design customized proposals and product bundles tailored to customer needs.
  • Serve as a key contact for high-value clients in the fragrance and beauty industries.

Product Line Management

  • Oversee the product lifecycle, from supplier negotiation to delivery, ensuring optimal quality, cost, and innovation.
  • Maintain an up-to-date portfolio of pump and collar offerings, integrating sustainable and market-relevant products.
  • Work closely with the design, QC, and logistics teams to ensure smooth project execution and client satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain relationships with European manufacturers and global suppliers.
  • Negotiate pricing, MOQs, lead times, and exclusivity agreements when applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and monitor performance KPIs for each supplier.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate closely with sales, marketing, QC, logistics, and finance teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery of projects.
  • Provide guidance to junior team members and internal stakeholders working within the Pump and Collar vertical.

Operational Oversight & Forecasting

  • Track inventory levels, anticipate supply chain needs, and proactively manage procurement planning.
  • Ensure cost efficiency across the unit through strong forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.

Qualifications & Experience :

  • In-depth knowledge of fragrance packaging components, especially dispensing systems (pumps, collars, actuators).
  • Proven experience leading business units or product categories within B2B packaging or beauty supply chains.
  • Over 7 years of experience in commercial and operational roles within the packaging, fragrance, and cosmetics industries.
  • Strong track record of business growth and successful client management.
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a strong plus.
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills..
  • Deep understanding of product costing, margins, and pricing strategies.
  • Knowledge of SAP, CRM tools, and procurement software.
  • Fluency in English (French is a plus); comfortable working in multicultural environments.
