Business Development & Projects Manager

Job Purpose

The Business Development and Projects Manager identifies and manages new business opportunities and strategic projects within emergency services, focusing on growth across government, semi-government, and private sectors in civil defence, industrial firefighting, healthcare, maritime, and aviation safety.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

• Identify and assess potential clients and partners in emergency services.
• Develop proposals, commercial offers, and lead tendering processes in collaboration with internal teams.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in relevant sectors (civil defence, healthcare, aviation, etc.).

Project Management

• Lead the execution of awarded projects, ensuring they meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Oversee project planning, risk management, and reporting, coordinating with internal departments.

Strategy & Advisory

• Contribute to growth strategies and business planning.
• Support the advisory team with market insights and regulatory updates.

Market Intelligence & Analysis

• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging opportunities.
• Assist with pricing models, ROI forecasts, and partnership evaluations.

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure adherence to internal governance, HSE, and UAE regulations in all activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Emergency Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Master’s degree or PMP certification is advantageous, or equivalent industry experience.
• 10+ years in business development, project management, or strategic roles, preferably in emergency services or critical infrastructure.
• Experience working with UAE government entities and critical national infrastructure.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
• Excellent communication skills, particularly with senior stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge of emergency services and UAE regulations.
• Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus).
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
