Job Purpose:

The Business Development Officer supports the company’s corporate sales strategy by identifying new business opportunities, assisting in lead generation, and coordinating the preparation of client proposals. This role contributes to expanding the company’s corporate client base and ensuring smooth sales operations to drive revenue and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation & Client Outreach

  • Assist in identifying potential B2B clients through research and market analysis.
  • Support outreach initiatives, including cold calling, emailing, and social media messaging to qualify leads.
  • Maintain a prospecting list and follow up regularly to keep the pipeline active.

Proposal & Sales Support

  • Assist in preparing proposals, quotations, and presentations tailored to client requirements.
  • Help coordinate follow-ups on submitted proposals to monitor progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales-related documentation.

Client Coordination & Internal Liaison

  • Serve as a point of contact for basic client inquiries and support their day-to-day needs.
  • Liaise with the operations and marketing teams to ensure service delivery aligns with client expectations.
  • Keep updated records of client communications and interactions.

Sales Reporting & Administrative Support

  • Maintain accurate CRM data and update sales trackers.
  • Assist in preparing regular sales activity reports for review.
  • Gather client feedback post-delivery to help improve future services.

Skills and Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 1–3 years of experience in sales support, business development, or a related field.
  • Exposure to B2B, e-commerce, or gifting sectors is an advantage.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Familiarity with CRM tools is a plus.
