Business Development Manager (Wallet Payment Industry Experience)

Responsible for payment channel expansion, business negotiations, and compliance implementation in the Indian, Pakistan, and Bangladesh markets. This includes local payment cooperation docking, rate negotiations, risk control management, policy compliance, and promoting the localization and continuous optimization of payment solutions.

• Market research and strategy development

• In-depth analysis of markets in India (UPI, Paytm), Pakistan (JazzCash, EasyPaisa), and Bangladesh

• Understanding the payment market structure of bKash, Nagad, including bank transfer, e-wallet, mobile payment, and cross-border payment

• Study of local regulatory policies (such as Indian RBI and Pakistan Central Bank regulations) and compliance requirements to ensure payment cooperation adheres to local regulations

• Payment channel expansion and cooperation

• Establishing partnerships with local payment service providers (such as Paytm, UPI, JazzCash, Nagad, bKash)

• Promoting interconnection of payment networks with banks, fintech companies, and telecom operators (e.g., M-Pesa partnership model)

• Business negotiation and contract management

• Leading negotiations on key terms such as rates, settlement cycles, and technical docking to optimize payment costs and user experience

• Managing cooperation agreements and ensuring smooth execution

• Collaborating with product and technical teams to promote API connection, testing, and launching of payment channels

• Working with marketing teams to develop localized payment promotion strategies to enhance user payment success rates

Desired Candidate Profile

• Over 3 years of business development experience in the payment industry, with familiarity in markets in India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh (such as UPI, Paytm, bKash, JazzCash)

• Candidates with successful payment cooperation cases (such as cross-border payments, local wallet access) will be prioritized

• Excellent negotiation skills, capable of independently promoting cooperation

• Familiarity with payment system technology connections (such as API, QR code payments)

• Fluency in English; proficiency in local languages (Hindi, Urdu, Bengali) is a plus

• Willingness to travel frequently and possess cross-cultural communication skills

• Result-oriented with the ability to handle business expansion pressures

• Experience in fintech, cross-border e-commerce, or international remittance business; possession of local payment ecosystem resources (banks, telecom operators, government relations) is advantageous
