Franklin Templeton is seeking a Business Development Manager (Retail) based in Dubai, focusing on clients in Greece and Cyprus. This role is a key member of our Sales team, working with the Head of Retail GEM & Africa to execute sales strategies that support and grow our business through financial intermediaries in these regions. You will develop a thorough understanding of FT products and processes to serve Advisors effectively through meetings, presentations, calls, and emails. The role involves articulating organizational updates, investment processes, themes, and market events to intermediaries/distributors, and ensuring all Advisors receive appropriate coverage via the Sales Plan and regular team reviews.

Responsibilities include:

  • Achieving sales targets by building relationships with existing clients and identifying prospects across channels like regional banks, international banks, insurance companies, and IFAs.
  • Understanding client asset mixes, decision-makers, and business trends to uncover opportunities and position FT solutions accordingly.
  • Providing senior management with insights into key relationships, including preparing briefing materials and coordinating engagement meetings.
  • Following our sales process, pursuing comprehensive coverage, and ensuring effective distribution of our offerings.
  • Interacting with clients to provide reports and updates, supporting sales campaigns, and involving clients in major initiatives.
  • Fostering a positive work environment, participating in business planning, marketing, and negotiations.
  • Leveraging internal expertise in client conversations and enhancing product knowledge through training.
  • Coordinating with various teams for new and existing business opportunities.
  • Planning and executing regional roadshows.

Ideal candidate qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance; MBA, CFA, CAIA advantageous.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant asset management or sales experience.
  • Strong knowledge of financial products and macroeconomic environment.
  • Fluent Greek and excellent English; Dubai-based with flexibility to travel.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to analyze industry developments, results-driven, with integrity and accountability.
