Role Overview:
The Business Development Manager – Middle East Government will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing business opportunities within the region. This role requires a strong understanding of government procurement processes, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to navigate complex international markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with government agencies in key customers within the region.
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline and deliver against quarterly and annual bookings targets.
- Develop deep knowledge of government procurement policies, bidding processes, and compliance requirements.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and government meetings.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams including product, marketing, legal, and operations to develop and tailor offerings to meet the unique needs of government customers.
- Prepare detailed proposals, presentations, and RFI/RFP responses.
- Cultivate long-term strategic relationships with key government stakeholders, partners, and consultants.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform go-to-market strategies.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of business development, sales, or account management experience selling to international governments or public sector clients.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in complex, high-value B2G sales environments.
- Deep understanding of international government procurement, tendering, and contracting processes.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience working across multiple regions (e.g., EMEA) is highly preferred.
- Ability to travel internationally as needed.
- Fluency in English required; additional language(s) a strong asset.
