Business Development Manager | Blue Rewards | Corporate Services

Overview of the role:

The primary purpose of this role is to increase the sales of gift cards, acquire fresh business from aggregators, loyalty firms, corporate/ B2B clients and manage key accounts. An ideal candidate needs to have rich, solid experience in the fields of gift card sales, client management as well a strong foundation in gift card operations. Attain optimum business from reputed companies/banks, Govt./Semi Govt organizations and sustain those relationships in the long term.

What you will do:

  1. Strong understanding of API integrations to propel distribution channels of gift card sales (marketplace, points exchange, redemptions etc.)
  2. Building relationships with business clients and managing negotiations of ad-hoc orders, sales contracts, operations, complaints and timely payout to B2B distributor/resellers.
  3. Tie-up with leading financial institutes and/or Loyalty program managers of reputed companies for Redemption Programs against Blue Rewards Gift Cards.
  4. Oversee the end-to-end fulfillment process of all products and work in coordination with the Blue Reward Operations, Marketing, Data and Finance teams.
  5. Report any delays in order fulfilment to your line manager and fix issues to safeguard commitments and reputation.
  6. Generate referrals from other Blue Rewards products and act on any leads provided with an earnest effort towards business optimization and revenue generation.

Required Skills to be successful:

  1. Proven experience in the gift card and payment industry.
  2. Strong track record of building and managing partnerships with government and semi-government entities.
  3. In-depth understanding of loyalty programs and customer engagement strategies.
  4. Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  5. Solid knowledge of market dynamics and regulatory frameworks, including Central Bank regulations.
  6. Experience in managing and operating retail and commercial malls.

About the Team:

You will be reporting to the Head of Gift Programs.

What equips you for the role:

  1. Min. 5 years’ experience in Gift Cards- Corporate Sales, Business Development and Key Account Management.
  2. Comply and strictly adhere to KYC and KYB guidelines as outlined by Blue Rewards/Central Bank guidelines.
  3. Withstand surprise check of files or documents to ensure non-compliance and adherence to audit guidelines of Blue Rewards.
  4. Attend periodic training to keep abreast of products and policies.
  5. Well versed in business development with market exposure in the gift card industry.
  6. Self-starter, results oriented, strong ethics.
  7. Time management and organization skills.
  8. Ability to work under pressure with changing business goals.
  9. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  10. Ability to work independently and with challenging targets.
