Job summary

A major banking institution in Dubai is seeking a Business Development Manager to manage and develop corporate relationships for their ADIB@WORK program. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree, 6 years of retail banking experience, and possess strong planning and communication skills. This role requires a willingness to travel within the UAE to maintain business relations.

Job Description

Role: Business Development Manager

Location: Dubai

Role Purpose:

Manage existing & identify potential corporate relationships and offer them the ADIB@WORK program.

Key Accountabilities of the role
  1. Identify corporates and business opportunities and scope ADIB@WORK business potential.
  2. Ensure periodic meetings and visits to maintain up-to-date insight on assigned portfolio and share details with the respective line manager.
  3. Review current products and programs and perform benchmarking with key competitors.
  4. Develop & maintain relationships with key personnel in identified corporates and present the ADIB@WORK proposition document to create new business avenues and enhanced accessibilities.
  5. Engage various business units throughout the identified opportunities, manage, and ensure generating business leads.
  6. Ensure proper closure of leads and resolution of complaints.
  7. Develop cross-selling opportunities from sourced leads & identify product & policy enhancements to boost acquisition.
Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role:
  1. Bachelor's degree required (preferably in business administration, finance, or related field)
  2. 6 years' experience in retail banking - front line Business Development preferred.
  3. Strong planning and multitasking skills, with the ability to address many issues simultaneously.
  4. Strong communication skills
  5. Team player mentality
  6. Willingness to travel within the UAE.
