A reputable shipping and freight forwarding company is looking for a Business Development Manager to drive sales across ocean and air freight, warehousing, and customs clearance services. The ideal candidate should have 5-6 years of experience in the freight forwarding industry and a strong network of clients in the region. Excellent negotiation and communication skills are essential. This position is located in Sharjah.

Qualifications

  • 5–6 years of proven sales experience in the freight forwarding industry (air and sea).
  • Strong network and existing customer base in the region.
  • In-depth knowledge of logistics operations, freight products, and services.

Responsibilities

  • Generate freight forwarding business by selling the company’s end-to-end logistics services.

Job Brief:

We are seeking dynamic and results-driven Business Development Managers to join the Dubai & Sharjah offices of a reputable shipping and freight forwarding company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales across ocean freight, air freight, warehousing, and customs clearance services. This role requires a strong background in freight forwarding, proven client relationships in the assigned market, and the ability to develop new business opportunities while retaining and growing existing accounts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Generate freight forwarding business by selling the company’s end-to-end logistics services.
  • Handle sales for Ocean Freight (Export, Import, and Cross Trade – FCL & LCL).
  • Manage Air Freight sales (Export, Import, and Cross Trade).
  • Promote warehousing, distribution, and customs clearance services.
  • Offer transportation solutions for both ocean and air shipments.
  • Handle Break-Bulk and ODC (Over Dimensional Cargo) shipments.
  • Drive revenue through client retention and identify new business opportunities.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and service follow-ups.
  • Manage rate renewals, follow up on payments, and secure repeat business.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer challenges effectively.

Job Requirements:

  • 5–6 years of proven sales experience in the freight forwarding industry (air and sea).
  • Strong network and existing customer base in the region.
  • In-depth knowledge of logistics operations, freight products, and services.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
  • A valid driving license is mandatory.
