1 Mission
Develop the business relations with prospects and clients to obtain opportunities and secure orders in line with the Business Unit strategy.
2 Line and Staff Relations
The Business Developer works in the Business Development Team and reports to the Director of Business Development.
3 Key Responsibilities Activities:
- Implement the business development strategy of the Business Unit for key accounts, as defined by management.
- Manage client and prospect relations, maintaining regular professional communication.
- Ensure thorough knowledge of the Company's portfolio and references, promoting a complete scope of services.
- Act with integrity and respect the Code of Conduct, especially Contract Compliance, minimizing risks when working with Third Parties by ensuring compliance with latest Ethics and Compliance processes.
- Execute market evaluation campaigns within key account environments.
- Prepare and validate the commercial strategy for key accounts, establishing strategic alliances with partners when required.
- Organize and prepare meetings with clients and prospects, and follow up on generated opportunities.
- Share market analysis, opportunities, and strategic views within the team.
- Coordinate with Tendering and Operations teams to develop winning strategies, including partnerships.
- Promote innovative solutions that add value for customers and highlight key differentiators.
- Secure orders and participate in contractual negotiations.
- Seek regular customer feedback to develop improvement plans and identify new opportunities.
- Monitor competition.
- Identify, organize, and participate in marketing events such as exhibitions and conferences.
- Report sales actions and market evolution to management.
- Maintain and update the CRM tool regularly with opportunities, client contacts, and meeting debriefs.
- Report difficulties to management and propose improvements in sales and development processes.
4 Profile Specifications – Minimum Requirements
- Typically 5 years in business development roles within sales or business consulting, preferably in infrastructure engineering. Experience in the airport industry is a plus.
- Proven track record in growing business from greenfield in the GCC / Middle East / Africa regions. Frequent travel may be required.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships at decision-making levels within customer organizations.
- Fluent in English and Arabic; French is a plus.
