Job description

PIPECARE Group [Middle East Team] is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join its growing team. The selected candidate will be responsible for expanding PIPECARE's customer base and introducing new clients to its in-line inspection services. They will participate in defining strategic goals, build key customer relationships emphasizing a partnering approach, seek out new business opportunities, guide customers through contracting, and stay informed on market conditions.

Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Identify, qualify, pursue, and capture sales opportunities to maximize growth.
  2. Provide customers with information about PIPECARE’s products and services, adding value to their pipeline integrity programs.
  3. Collaborate with various departments to ensure smooth service delivery and meet customer needs.
  4. Keep updated on industry regulations, legislation, and trends.
  5. Develop long-term customer relationships, facilitate referrals, and gather market intelligence.
  6. Advise top management on business trends and potential new services or products.
  7. Develop detailed customer engagement plans.
  8. Assist with commercial contract pricing.
  9. Participate in new product initiatives.
  10. Support colleagues across regions and contribute to group activities.
  11. Educate customers on PIPECARE’s technology and services for pipeline integrity.
  12. Represent PIPECARE at conferences and exhibitions, supporting marketing initiatives.
  13. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Sales & Marketing Director and Executive Team.

Required Qualifications and Background

  • BS degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience in the in-line inspection industry with sound commercial skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas sector, particularly in pipeline integrity services or in-line inspection, is a plus.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
  • Strong lead generation and closing skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the Middle East region.

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to walk, climb, and access various environments including refineries and elevated platforms.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to focus and multitask.
  • Willingness to wear safety equipment as required.
  • Sufficient mobility and reflexes for office duties and travel.
