Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in the freight forwarding industry. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the Abu Dhabi market, with a strong background in business development and sales. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication and negotiation skills to drive business growth and expand our market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement effective business development strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share objectives.
  2. Identify and target potential clients to expand the customer base and increase sales revenue.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and other logistics partners.
  4. Prepare and present sales proposals and negotiate contracts with clients.
  5. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
  6. Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  7. Analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and make data-driven decisions.
  8. Provide leadership and guidance to the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  9. Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations and customs requirements.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development within the freight forwarding industry in the Abu Dhabi market.
  3. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  4. Strong knowledge of logistics, supply chain management, and freight forwarding processes.
  5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  6. Proficiency in sales and logistics software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  8. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree in a related field.
  2. Certification in sales or logistics management.
  3. Experience with export logistics and handling shipments from free zones.
