Job Description:

A Business Development Manager (BDM) fosters existing client relationships to encourage ongoing sales and pursues prospective clients to win new business. The BDM educates potential customers about the company’s products and services, plans and executes marketing campaigns, and responds to requests for proposals (RFPs).

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain Client Relationships: Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business.
  2. Prospect and Establish New Business Relationships: Identify potential clients, reach out to them, and establish new business connections.
  3. Expand Sales Areas: Develop new sales areas and improve sales through various methods.
  4. Stay Informed: Research the latest trends in the business industry and create new opportunities to expand the business.
  5. Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with sales and design teams to ensure requirements are met, such as sales numbers and profit goals.
  6. Train Junior Salespeople: Mentor and train junior sales team members to improve sales goals and meet expectations.
  7. Understand the Market: Have a strong understanding of company products or services, as well as the business position and competition, to keep the business competitive.
