Job Description

RINA is currently recruiting for a AeroSpace & Defence Middle East Business Development Manager to join its office in Abu Dhabi within the Middle East and India Engineering Commercial Management Division.

Mission

The mission of a Business Development Manager (BDM) is to drive growth and expand business opportunities for the organization. The BDM is responsible for increasing the pipeline offering and winning contracts within an assigned services portfolio and/or geographical coverage.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Drive and Monitor Order Intake Pipeline: Manage the sales pipeline, ensure a steady flow of orders, and analyze key performance indicators related to order intake.
  2. Update Pipeline with New Prospects: Identify and add new potential clients, conduct research to assess their fit.
  3. Lead and Support on Contracts, Tenders, and Quotations: Negotiate and secure contracts, support tender and quotation preparations.
  4. Contract Closing and Lessons Learned: Lead contract closures and document lessons learned for future improvement.
  5. Cross Selling and Mutual Opportunities: Collaborate across departments to identify and develop cross-selling opportunities.
  6. Competitor Tracking and Intelligence: Monitor industry competitors and adapt strategies accordingly.
  7. Sales and Business Development Initiatives: Generate new opportunities, conduct client visits, and manage relationships.
  8. Alliances and Partnerships: Explore and develop external partnerships and alliances.
  9. Customer Engagement and Satisfaction: Understand customer needs, enhance satisfaction, and develop new markets.
  10. Stay Current with Offerings and Technology Solutions: Keep updated on organizational offerings and communicate technological solutions effectively.
Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (General)

Master's Degree in Economics

Qualifications
  • Substantial experience in business development, sales, or related roles, typically 5-8+ years.
  • Proficiency in sales techniques, prospecting, lead generation, and closing deals.
  • Strong negotiation skills for favorable agreements.
