Overview

Business Development Lead at Nokia

We are seeking a Business Development Lead to discover customer requirements and drive the definition of solutions to meet customer needs. The candidate will be responsive to the technical and business needs of our customers, target market segments and their sales teams, have knowledge of the technical aspects of solutions and customer use-cases, be self-motivated and able to operate independently with minimal supervision. The position often drives next steps toward acceptance of Nokia solutions with customers directly or via the Sales teams. A comprehensive technical knowledge of IP / MPLS solutions is required.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the sales teams (sales executives, sales managers, sales engineers) to gather requirements and support the definition of sales strategies.
  • Conduct sales efforts with integrity, ensuring product capabilities are accurately represented to customers and that Nokia can deliver proposed solutions within the anticipated timeframe.
  • Manage multiple opportunities and several accounts with conflicting priorities.
  • Be accountable for creating new sales opportunities with significant business impact within the market unit.
  • Identify and define new business opportunities within an overall given organizational unit, directly or with account managers.
  • Evaluate and handle investment proposals with the organizational unit head.
  • Directly responsible for creating and managing top / middle management contacts within the customer's organization.
  • Lead strategic programs and platforms for the marketing function, and create and lead global marketing direction for specific product groups across channels.
  • Lead Marketing efforts to support sales growth for medium / large country revenue.
Key Skills And Experience
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in business development or a related field
  • Experience with DWDM / OTN / SONET / Ethernet technologies
  • Existing relationships with customers in the Mission Critical Segment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IP / MPLS solutions and related technical aspects
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple accounts and conflicting priorities
