Job description

Description
The individual will spearhead the sales of the bank's merchant acquiring products and solutions, with a focus on maximizing profitability. This role requires a deep understanding of POS and Ecommerce domains to deliver tailored solutions to merchants, from initial sales through to payment implementation.

What You ll Do

  1. Develop and execute strategies to achieve predetermined volume and revenue targets for the merchant acquiring business.
  2. Identify potential clients and onboard at least 25 new businesses, achieving a monthly rental of 50k.
  3. Monitor merchant transactions and volumes, creating effective retention strategies to minimize attrition and address merchant dormancy.
  4. Collaborate closely with the SME business team for lead generation and deal closure.
  5. Proactively generate and close independent leads from references.
  6. Ensure all documentation received from merchants meets the bank's requirements and that agreements are properly signed and stamped.
  7. Provide high-quality service to all merchants regarding their merchant/gateway services.
  8. Adhere to prescribed processes for all merchant-related activities, including ecommerce setup, activation, and integration. Update merchant information promptly and handle/process acquirer chargebacks.
  9. Collect adequate documentation in line with KYC policies during new merchant sign-ups to ensure regulatory compliance.
  10. Maintain a working knowledge of the merchant acquiring business and the implementation of all payment solutions offered by the company.
  11. Uphold high standards of confidentiality to protect commercially sensitive information.

What We're Looking For

  1. University degree or equivalent qualification.
  2. At least 2 years of relevant experience.
  3. Excellent English communication skills (both spoken and written). Knowledge of Arabic is a significant advantage.
  4. Strong negotiating capabilities.
  5. Comprehensive understanding of the card acquiring business, including modern digital POS channels.
  6. Highly driven and capable of performing under pressure.
  7. Exceptional relationship-building abilities.
