Job description

The Position

The Role

The position is based in Dubai, UAE and will report directly to the Head of Licensing, META . The role is responsible forsupporting the Business Development team in evaluating and advancing new product opportunities—primarily innovative assets and multinational company (MNC) portfolios—through scientific analysis, commercial forecasting, and cross-functional collaboration. This role is instrumental in shaping GenMed’s pipeline through strategic targeting, rigorous opportunity qualification and business case development.

  • Conduct initial scientific and commercial evaluation of new product opportunities, with a focus on innovative assets and MNC portfolios.
  • Analyze disease prevalence, market trends, competitive landscape, and pricing using industry databases (., IQVIA, GlobalData).
  • Develop high-level forecasts (top-down or bottom-up) to qualify opportunities for further exploration.
  • Refine forecasts based on input from regional commercial, regulatory, and medical teams.
  • Support the development of business cases; collaborate with internal stakeholders (Finance, Regulatory, Supply Chain, QA, Medical) to validate assumptions and ensure feasibility.
  • Prepare presentations and pitch decks for internal decision-making and external partner discussions.
  • Track, update, and maintain BD opportunity status using internal trackers and dashboards.
  • Leverage existing and emerging databases to identify potential product or partner targets aligned with GenMed’s strategic priorities.
  • Utilize artificial intelligence (AI) tools to enhance opportunity assessment, market research, and forecasting accuracy.
  • Actively explore and propose innovative AI applications that could further optimize BD processes and insights.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related field.
  • Master’s in Business or Finance is a plus.
  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or consulting.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical databases (., IQVIA, GlobalData).
  • Experience using AI tools or platforms for business analysis or market evaluation, with interest in identifying emerging applications.
  • Excellent command of writing and spoken English, Arabic is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and research capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Clear communication and presentation skills.
  • Collaborative and solution-oriented mindset.
