Develop the business relation with prospects and clients to obtain the opportunities and securing the orders in line with the Business Unit strategy.
2 Line and Staff Relations
The Business Developer works in the Business Development Team and reports to the Director of Business Development. He/She is also collaborating with the other Company supporting and operational department on a daily basis.
3 Key Responsibilities
- Implement the business development strategy of the Business Unit for his/her key accounts, as defined by the management.
- Manage the client and prospects relations maintaining a regular proper professional communication.
- Ensure a perfect knowledge of the Company’s portfolio and references and promote the complete scope of services.
- At all times act with integrity and in respect of our Code of conduct, in particular Contract Compliance – minimize potential risks when working with Third Parties by ensuring compliance with latest Ethics, Compliance and conflict of interest processes and refer to the published code of conduct.
- Execute the market evaluation campaigns on his/her key account environment.
- Prepare and validate the commercial strategy of his/her key accounts, establishing winning alliances with partners, when required.
- Organize and prepare the clients and prospects meetings and the follow-up of the opportunities generated.
- Share the market analysis, opportunities and strategic views within the BD team as collaborative work.
- Coordinate with Tendering and Operations teams to develop winning strategies, including possible partnerships.
- Push for innovative solutions that make a difference for customers' business and promote the key differentiator factors.
- Secure the orders and participate in the negotiation of the contractual conditions satisfying the company interests.
- Organize regular customer feedback allowing development of improvement plans and new opportunities.
- Monitor movements of competitors and identify their strategy.
- Identify, organize and participate in marketing events (exhibitions / conferences…).
- Report sales actions and market evolution to the management.
- Monitor and update the Customer Relation Management tool on a regular basis with all opportunities, client contacts and meetings debrief with relevant information.
- Report difficulties to the management and propose improvements in the Sales actions and Development processes.
4 Profile Specifications – Minimum Requirements
- Typically 5 years in a business development role for a sales or business development team, preferably in the infrastructure engineering or business consulting roles. Experience in the airport industry is a plus.
- Proven track record in growing business from greenfield in the Business Unit geographic areas, specifically GCC / Middle East / Africa. Frequent travels may be required.
- Ability to create and maintain relationships at decisive levels in customer organizations.
- Ability to communicate and convince an audience in English and Arabic. French language is a plus.
