Brief Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Banking Business Analyst with strong experience in Appian and the UAE commercial banking domain. This role acts as a vital link between business stakeholders and technical development teams. The candidate will gather, evaluate, and translate business requirements into clear, structured technical documentation, ensuring alignment between business needs and technology implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Requirement Gathering & Analysis

• Interact with business stakeholders to gather, validate, and prioritize functional and non-functional requirements.
• Evaluate business needs against technology capabilities, especially within Appian BPM and related systems.
• Translate business goals into structured user stories or functional specifications understandable by development teams.

Documentation & Communication

• Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specification Documents (FSD), and process flows aligned with technical expectations.
• Ensure documentation is complete, version-controlled, and traceable across SDLC.
• Bridge gaps between business and technology teams with clear communication and walkthroughs.

Development & UAT Support

• Collaborate with Appian developers to explain requirements, clarify use cases, and ensure understanding.
• Assist in test planning, create and validate test cases, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Coordinate with QA teams and provide sign-off support on functional validations.

User Engagement & Adoption

• Conduct demos and walkthroughs for users and stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity.
• Gather user feedback, recommend product enhancements, and support user onboarding/adoption efforts.
• Support training documentation and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions.

Operational Support

• Provide backup support for L1 and L2 teams, especially for Appian-related issues and business queries.
• Understand and troubleshoot day-to-day business escalations that require domain knowledge.

Key Skills & Expertise:

• Strong experience in Appian BPM (as a business analyst or solution consultant)
• Expertise in UAE Commercial Banking products/processes (Loans, Credit, KYC, Regulatory, Compliance, etc.)
• Proficient in creating BRD, FSD, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria
• Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile practices, and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA)
• Excellent stakeholder communication and facilitation skills
• Ability to translate complex business logic into simple and clear documentation
• Familiarity with test planning and defect lifecycle management
