The Business Analyst is a critical role responsible for overseeing the collection, analysis, and reporting of sell-out data across five subcontinents and 45 markets. This position serves as the key contact for all departments regarding sell-out performance, influencing strategy, providing analysis, and contributing to budget and board presentations. The ideal candidate possesses expertise in data analysis, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and headquarters.
Main Responsibilities
SELL-OUT LOADING & REPORTING
- Manage the monthly sell-out data loading process into the BI system for local markets and travel retail channels.
- Oversee door creation and project follow-up related to platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Anaplan.
- Develop reports and analysis to support departmental performance monitoring.
- Utilize Excel and Power BI for data analysis and visualization.
- Act as the main contact for all departments to ensure effective performance tracking, influence strategy, and provide dedicated analysis.
- Contribute to budget and board presentations.
COMMERCIAL PARTNERSHIP
- Collaborate with the commercial team to provide weekly analysis (with a Sephora focus) and challenge sales managers to influence strategy based on trends, rankings, and market share.
- Work with marketing to analyze products and identify key levers, gathering market information from partners like Chalhoub.
TRADE ANALYSIS
- Perform detailed trade performance analysis to understand profitability, including strategic podium performance and costs.
- Propose trade arbitrage when necessary and estimate sell-out for upcoming events.
RETAIL PERFORMANCE LEADERSHIP
- Lead weekly retail performance meetings with the Commercial Excellence team.
- Analyze the top-performing channel, develop retail growth strategies, and support operational improvements behind boutiques.
- Accelerate KPI utilization and provide analysis on reattainment, novelties, and trade performance.
FINANCE ALIGNMENT
- Coordinate with finance to ensure compliance with HQ processes (distribution files, market books, door mapping).
TRAVEL RETAIL EXPERTISE
- Deep dive into customer analysis within Travel Retail to match the insights of the Local Market.
RELATIONSHIP WITH HQ
- Maintain regular communication with HQ through various channels, including bi-monthly community meetings and weekly updates.
- Participate actively in performance reviews, providing explanations and justifications.
Profile
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Data Analysis, Market Research, Business Intelligence, or similar.
- BA Degree required; Masters preferred.
- Fluent in English; French and Arabic are a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate insights.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
- Passion for luxury brands and understanding of consumer behavior.
