Position Overview

We are seeking a Business Analyst with strong experience in data warehousing for banking sector clients. This role, based in the UAE, provides a unique opportunity to work with leading financial institutions on data-driven projects that shape critical business functions. The ideal candidate will bridge business needs and technology teams to ensure successful delivery of complex data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse, and document business requirements related to data warehousing projects for banking clients.
• Work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications.
• Analyse existing data flows, data models, and banking processes to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
• Collaborate with IT, data engineering, and project management teams to design and implement data warehousing solutions that meet business objectives.
• Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT), develop test cases, and coordinate with end-users to validate data solutions.
• Prepare comprehensive business process and data flow documentation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements affecting banking data (e.g., data privacy, reporting standards).
• Support change management, training, and go-live activities for data warehouse implementations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 4+ years as a Business Analyst with demonstrated experience in data warehousing within the banking/financial services sector.
• In-depth knowledge of core banking processes and banking products.
• Expertise in data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data modelling.
• Proficiency with data tools and technologies (e.g., SQL, Oracle, Informatica, Microsoft BI, or similar).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance issues relevant to banking data in the UAE and the wider GCC region.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience delivering projects in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA, or data warehousing certifications).
• Experience with data governance frameworks and data quality initiatives.
• Background in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Working knowledge of Arabic is an advantage (not required).
