Job description

We are seeking an experienced Marine Fuel Back to Back Trader to join a dynamic team in Dubai. The successful candidate will engage in the purchase and sale of marine fuel and associated products, fostering profitable and longstanding relationships with a portfolio of counterparties. This role requires a risk-aware perspective regarding credit risk and payment performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Proactively market to a portfolio of new and existing customers.
  2. Establish and build relationships to increase enquiries and sales of Peninsula's products and services.
  3. Communicate openly with other traders to maximize the efficient flow of market and customer intelligence. Support international colleagues by diligently working on inbound enquiries from other regional offices.
  4. Understand, analyze, and interpret market conditions. Identify counterparty needs, provide product and price information, negotiate deals, and handle sales administration.
  5. Proactively control credit risk by chasing late payments and minimizing claim costs. Regularly assess counterparty financial strength in conjunction with the Credit Team.
  6. Leverage the Group's global network to develop and expand the company’s business portfolio.
  7. Ensure all sales opportunities are identified and maximized.
Requirements:
  1. Business-level English is essential.
  2. High level of computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Persuasive and influential, with strong negotiation abilities.
  5. Ability to listen and respond effectively to supplier/customer queries and solve problems.
  6. Analytical and strategic thinking, with an understanding of the wider business context.
  7. Ambitious, self-motivated, and committed to continuous learning and development.
