Job description

Buildings Electrical Inspector Jobs in Abu Dhabi, UAE

Responsibilities

We envisage success in this role to include:

  1. Attending to Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by the contractor and taking appropriate action in a timely manner.
  2. Reviewing submitted shop drawings against contract drawings, specifications, local codes, statutory requirements, and international best practices.
  3. Reporting any works carried out by the contractor that do not conform to approved drawings and specifications, and informing stakeholders for appropriate action.
  4. Monitoring the quality of works and assessing safety at the site, including health and environmental issues, ensuring compliance with contractual/QCS specifications and safety and health risk assessments.
  5. Maintaining records of daily activities on site, including progress photos, and ensuring they are readily available for inspection when required.
  6. Preparing surveillance reports for deficiencies observed at the site and non-conformance reports (NCR) if necessary, based on the development of events.
  7. Checking and ensuring effective coordination between discipline-related works and all other disciplines.
  8. Providing technical input and experience to resolve any discipline-related issues that may arise on site.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have at least 5 years of work experience in buildings, specifically in electrical systems, fire life safety systems, low current systems, structured cabling systems, CCTV systems, audio-visual systems, etc., along with a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
