Job Purpose: To process Cash, Cheque, and other financial transactions in accordance with guidelines provided by the Company with accuracy and efficiency. To supervise a team of staff to achieve financial objectives and ensure adherence to all compliance/control areas of branch operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Customer Satisfaction/Service Standards
- Ensure Cash counters are operational to support business requirements.
- Provide service to all customers as per established ARIE standards.
- Communicate regulations and norms regarding transactions professionally.
- Advise customers about ARIE Products & Services as needed.
- Achieve minimum 'Wait' and 'Serve' times, reducing TAT.
- Guide customers to relevant departments for queries and deals.
- Address customer complaints/feedback per company norms and resolve escalated queries.
Financial/Sales- Maintain optimal profit margins for transactions.
- Solicit referrals and cross-sell to existing customers.
- Participate in customer acquisition and retention activities.
- Monitor exchange rates to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare reports on competition analysis and implement improvements.
Compliance- Handle foreign currency, remittances, and transactions per policies.
- Ensure cash handling and balancing are done accurately.
- Manage branch cash, currency sourcing, and deposits.
- Secure financial instruments and report anomalies immediately.
- Exercise due diligence in customer transactions, AML, and KYC processes.
- Identify operational improvements and ensure adherence to policies.
People Management- Monitor cashier performance and provide coaching as needed.
- Identify training needs and inform management.
Job Requirements
- Qualifications: Graduate in any related field, preferably with an accounting background.
- Experience: 5+ years as a Cashier/Teller, with at least 2 years in a senior branch operations role at a bank or reputed exchange house. Experience with large cash volumes is advantageous.
- Knowledge & Skills: Excellent organizational, presentation, and communication skills. Results-driven and customer-focused.
