Job summary

Danube Group is seeking a Branch Accountant to lead financial reporting for the UAE branch. You will manage daily accounting operations, ensure accurate cash and cheque deposits, and perform essential reconciliations to maintain integrity of records.

You will also generate sales reports on daily to monthly cycles and support month-end closing. The role requires UAE accounting experience and adherence to high ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• CA Inter certification preferred.
• Minimum 1 year accounting experience in the UAE.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day branch accounting operations, including cash and cheque deposits, ensuring accurate recording and timely deposits.
• Perform essential reconciliations for Cash, Bank, and Intercompany General Ledger accounts.
• Generate comprehensive sales reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, providing valuable insights for business analysis.
• Issue receipts, refunds, and exchange documents in line with company policies, maintaining transparency and accuracy.
• Oversee the timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing of accounts, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
• Prepare and maintain prepaid and provision schedules monthly, keeping track of financial commitments and obligations.
• Accurately record and deposit daily cash and cheque transactions, maintaining a high level of financial discipline.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to the highest ethical standards in accounting practices.
• Foster a collaborative work environment, promoting open communication and effective teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with a strong academic background.
• Minimum 1 year of accounting experience in the UAE, demonstrating a solid understanding of local financial practices.
• CA Inter certification is highly preferred, showcasing advanced accounting expertise.
• Proficiency in accounting principles, reconciliations, and reporting, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping.
• Excellent attention to detail, ensuring precision in financial transactions and record-keeping.
