Job description

Our valued client, a highly prominent family based in Dubai, is looking for a board secretary to manage all governance responsibilities for an executive board of directors. This senior-level role requires the successful applicant to be responsible for ensuring all compliance and corporate governance whilst providing seamless communication between the board and executive management. This includes liaising with legal advisers, key external stakeholders, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies relating to a large portfolio of businesses and investments.

To be eligible for this executive position, you will need to have a minimum of 15 years of experience as a successful business lawyer within the Middle East region, with at least 5 years in a board or governance role within a complex corporate environment. It is essential to have a strong knowledge of corporate governance regulations, compliance frameworks, and board best practices. Being able to multitask with leadership skills are key requirements, as well as the ability to draft and review governance-related documentation.
