Review of components stock graderefresh on quality of components.
Select the optimal combination of components to produce the final finished blend/product to meet the specification.
Advise and supervise the product blended by different processes such as inline through a manifold system, batch blending in tanks, and onboard blending into marine vessels.
Highlight associated risk/benefit and optimal solutions to possible challenges/problems.
Review of Batching / Load plan / discharge plan; if required, provide necessary inputs.
Advise on additives including octane enhancers, metal deactivators, antioxidants, antiknock agents, gum, and rust inhibitors, etc., that are added during and/or after blending to provide specific properties not inherent in hydrocarbons.
Coordinate with Lab team/chemist to get the best results through laboratory hand blends and with the use of blending programs.
Simulation of necessary paper blend/Theoretical blend for optimization.
Coordinate with client on blend results/Blend Quality Updates; advise and provide real-time dynamic solutions based on the situation.
Instruct the inspection team on the handling/doping of additives.
Qualifications:
Candidate shall have a Degree/Diploma in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
5 years as an inspector or chemist specialized in product blending.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Fluent in English language communication.
Strong personality and leadership skills.
Good knowledge of various country specifications and typical values of products, especially in fuel oil and gasoline, will be an advantage.
