Job description

Job Summary

The Welder is expected to multitask across various welding processes, including but not limited to TIG / MIG Welding, Hard Facing, and Brazing. Some manual grinding skills may be required, such as hole sizing and hot work using oxy/acetylene equipment.

Experienced in manufacturing products and components according to specifications and prints using a variety of equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Proficient in various metal welding processes
• Ability to read technical drawings and engineering specifications
• Knowledge of standard measuring instruments and inspection techniques
• Assembling components according to engineering drawings and set procedures
• Making setups and adjustments to ensure proper alignment of parts
• Lifting, positioning, and securing workpieces as needed
• Ensuring setups are approved by a senior operator or supervisor before proceeding with welding
• Performing daily cleaning of the assigned area
• Adhering to NOV regulations and all QHSE requirements
• Flexibility to move to other operations, shifts, or weekends as required

Qualifications :

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Technology, Metal Fabrication, or Welding Processes
• Vocational training with 2 years of experience or desirable work experience

Experience :

• Previous experience in production or fabrication environments is advantageous
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings, schematics, and shop practices
• Experience with manual grinding operations (desirable)

• Good team player; able to work independently
• Effective communication in English is essential
