JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

The Welder is expected to multitask across various welding processes, including but not limited to TIG / MIG Welding, Hard Facing, and Brazing. Some manual grinding expertise may be required, such as hole sizing operations and completing hot work using oxy/acetylene equipment.

Must be experienced in manufacturing products and components to specifications and prints using a variety of equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Proficient in various metal welding processes.
• Ability to read technical drawings and engineering specifications.
• Knowledge in using standard measuring instruments and inspection techniques.
• Assembling components according to engineering drawings and set procedures.
• Making setups and adjustments to ensure proper alignment of parts.
• Lifting, positioning, and securing workpieces as needed for turning or balancing.
• Ensuring setups are approved by a senior operator or supervisor before proceeding with production welding.
• Performing operator-level machine maintenance.
• Daily cleaning of the assigned work area.
• Adhering to NOV regulations and all QHSE requirements.
• Flexibility to move to other operations, shifts, or weekends as required.

Qualifications : (Education / No. of Years of Experience)

• Diploma in mechanical engineering, technology, metal fabrication, or welding processes.
• Vocational training with 2 years of experience or desirable work experience.

Experience :

• Previous operating experience in production or fabrication environments is advantageous.
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings, schematics, and shop practices.
• Experience with manual grinding operations is desirable.

Skills, Training, Special Knowledge, and/or Language Skills :

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication in English is essential.
