Job Description and Requirements

Job Purpose:

Enabling the success of students and supporting their academic achievement to reach their potential through the implementation of the SABIS curriculum and philosophy, along with the consistent use of the SABIS teaching methodology.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teaching using provided lesson plans, and developing such plans based on pacing charts as needed, to teach using the SABIS point system.
2. Marking exams related to their subject matter according to the schedule and materials provided by the department.
3. Discussing disciplinary and student performance issues with the Academic Quality Controller (AQC) and Head of Department (HOD) as needed.
4. Implementing the SABIS point system to create a conducive learning environment in the classroom.
5. Invigilating exams when required, ensuring proper management of the exam environment.
6. Supporting academically low-performing students to improve and motivate them to reach their potential.
7. Developing and following external exam preparation plans, including reviewing past papers as part of structured revision schedules when applicable.
8. Performing additional duties such as testing children, substituting for absent teachers, organizing students for lunches and buses, controlling traffic, and other administrative tasks assigned by SABIS management.
9. Preparing and participating in activity plans for student life events such as art, open house, and physical education, in coordination with the student life coordinator.
10. Attending training sessions as requested by school management to enhance understanding of the SABIS system and improve performance.
11. Performing other related tasks or projects as delegated by SABIS management.

Ideal Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a related subject or equivalent qualification.
• Proficiency in English; native speaker preferred depending on the subject.
• Competency in MS Office components.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
