Job description

Works under general supervision.
Provides training and technical support to design staff on the Building Information Modeling system, which provides 3D models based on project specifications and content.
Supports projects directly and produces drawings as required, adhering to standards and content to meet job requirements (objects within drawing corridors, utilities, etc.).

Job Description

Requires excellent technical knowledge and hands-on experience in roads and earthworks modelling and drafting tools such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Open Roads, Open Utilities, and MicroStation. Familiarity with Abu Dhabi, Dubai, or Middle East design standards is essential.

• Develop and produce drawings in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or related programs based on designs provided by road designers and modelers for internal and external use.
• Utilize customized tools, utilities, and scripts to automate workflows and enhance AutoCAD productivity, ensuring compliance with company CAD standards.
• Understand procedures (e.g., BIM Procedures) and company policies to meet results and deadlines, including model authoring using BIM tools (C3D) and extracting drawings from BIM models.
• Possess knowledge of digital tools for preparing GIS submissions to town planning authorities.
• Be familiar with Data Environments for information exchange such as ProjectWise and BIM360, with excellent skills in managing Civil 3D data shortcuts within these environments.
• Perform QA & QC on discipline models and drawings to ensure compliance with CAD/BIM standards and requirements.
• Collaborate closely with other designers and drafters to ensure coordinated, error-free drawings.
• Understand the design process for roads and earthworks.

Qualifications

A relevant qualification in BIM is required.
