Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Dubai is looking for a Technical Draftsman - MEP to develop technical drawings and coordinate MEP services. Candidates should have relevant experience and skills in AutoCAD and Revit, with a strong understanding of local authority requirements. The role involves producing detailed drawings and ensuring compliance with project specifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of X years experience in MEP technical drafting.
• Proficient in English and other relevant languages.
• Must possess relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

• Produce MEP discipline Technical Drawings & Building Information Modelling.
• Review architectural and structural drawings for GFC drawings preparation.
• Ensure compliance of drawings with local authority requirements.

GENERAL OBLIGATIONS

The below General Obligations are for all Studios Staff:

• As a representative of Studio 360 should maintain the integrity and sprit of the organization.
• Attend meetings and workshops as needed to contribute intellectually to the organizational needs. And if leading a meeting minute and share the notes as per set procedures immediately and follow up till task completion.
• Should adhere to all studio manuals procedures and protocols.
• Always deliver high quality output/standards as per the role and engineering discipline involved.
• Assist LDP(Leadership) office and immediate reporting authority in achieving the Studios Vision as set by Board/Investors.
• To be highly organized self-motivated and a good team player with excellent communication skills
• Is required to devote himself/herself exclusively to the performance of his duty during the working hours and if required beyond for the efficient discharge of duties.
• To be in constant communication with LDP and immediate reporting authorities for deliverables an its status.
• Flag the risks of delays cost overruns and quality issues or any other to LDP and immediate reporting authority the moment its known.
• While going on vacation and during weekends be available on standby by mode when there are critical deliverables which affects our/client business needs. Set up Proxy system while not able to stay in communication so tasks are completed and RAs have constant update on the tasks for effective tracking.
• Be accountable for own work and subordinates work.
• Undertake structured Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
• Should be able to perform under pressure and tight targets.
• Follow all QA/QC check for all work procedures under the scope.
• Should be always in smart business attire.

Role Description:

• Produce MEP discipline Technical Drawings & Building Information Modelling as per project requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing architectural structural & ID drawings for the purpose of developing GFC drawings.
• Preparation of respective discipline GFC drawings from IFC design.
• Preparation of MEP Service coordination.
• Preparation of MEP RCP coordination.
• Preparation of As built drawings.
• MEP Space planning.
• Preparation of sections & details.
• Document submission process support & follow up.
• Ensuring Drawings are incompliance to local authority requirements & standards.
• Resubmission of drawings based on engineers comments.
• Preparing Equipment / load schedules
• Preparing Schematic diagrams / Single line diagrams
• Verifying IFC designs for the purpose of GFC Drawings & raising discrepancies.
• Preparation of Builders work drawings.
• Preparation of Fabrication drawings.
