Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced BIM Lead to join our team in the UAE. The BIM Lead will be responsible for managing and coordinating the Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and ensuring the successful implementation of BIM standards and protocols across all projects. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the BIM process and ensure adherence to BIM standards, protocols, and project execution plans.
• Coordinate and manage the development of BIM models for various projects, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Collaborate with project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, to integrate BIM processes into project workflows.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams on BIM-related issues and best practices.
• Conduct regular BIM coordination meetings and clash detection sessions to identify and resolve design conflicts.
• Develop and maintain BIM execution plans, project-specific BIM protocols, and standards.
• Train and mentor team members on BIM tools, processes, and standards.
• Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies, software, and industry trends.
• Ensure quality control and compliance with BIM standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Report on BIM progress, issues, and outcomes to senior management and stakeholders. Managing the processes and procedures for information exchange on projects.
• Initiate, agree, and implement the Project Information Plan and Asset Information Plan covering:
  • Information Structure
  • Provision of Information
  • Level of detail of information
  • Managing BIM Execution Plan
  • Managing Common Data Environment and workflow
• Preparation of project Outputs, such as data drops/information exchange.
• Implementation of the BIM Protocol, including and not limited to Responsibility Matrix, MIDP, TIDP
• Receive information into the Information Model in compliance with agreed processes and procedures. Validate compliance with information requirements and advise on non-compliance.
• Maintain the Information Model to meet integrity and security standards in compliance with the employer's information requirement using Power BI.
• Manage the implementation of the Project protocol, including updating the Appendices.
• Manage the project team members in establishing information exchange processes, including defining and agreeing procedures for convening, chairing, attendance, and responsibility for recording information exchange process meetings.
• Participate in and comply with project team management procedures and processes, including:
  • Risk and value management
  • Performance management procedures, including adjustments to budgets and programme
  • Attendance at project and design team meetings as required.
  • Agree and implement record keeping and archiving.
• Actively participate in BIM committee forums and share responsibility to update UA BIM standards and library.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
• BIM certification (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) is highly desirable.
• Minimum 8-10 years of work experience in BIM Lead or a related role in Architectural Design.
• Proficiency in BIM software, such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and other relevant tools, such as Power BI.
• Strong understanding of BIM standards, protocols, and best practices.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Certification in BIM (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) is a plus.
• Experience working on large-scale construction projects in the UAE or the Middle East region is preferred.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
