Job summary

Egis Group in Dubai seeks a talented BIM Designer focused on ports and marine structures to create comprehensive BIM models for complex port infrastructure projects. You will develop detailed 3D models (LOD 200-400), draft 2D drawings, prepare take-offs, and coordinate multidisciplinary BIM models to resolve clashes.

The ideal candidate possesses advanced proficiency in Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD, with a portfolio of port or marine projects and strong collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of coastal and marine structures (breakwaters, quays, seawalls).
• Ability to interpret bathymetric and topographic survey data.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD.
• Experience with BIM coordination and clash detection on complex projects.
• Portfolio showing BIM work on port/marine projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 3D BIM models for port facilities and marine structures.
• Prepare 3D BIM models (LOD 200-400) for marine and structural works.
• Draft 2D drawings, plans, sections, elevations and shop drawings from BIM models.
• Prepare material take-offs (MTOs) and quantity calculations from BIM models.
• Perform clash detection and resolution to identify design conflicts.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary BIM models and resolve clashes using Navisworks.
• Create technical drawings and documentation from BIM models.
• Maintain BIM standards and best practices across deliverables.
• Prepare and present BIM models and visualizations to clients and teams.
