Job Description Summary
The BIM Coordinator is an integral part of the design team who leads and coordinates the process of generating digital models and integrated data, often referred to as information about a project, from the design stage to the construction stage.
Job Responsibilities
- Review, check, audit, and resubmit all models of LOD 400 & LOD 500.
- Support the Project Delivery Team on a day-to-day basis for BIM implementation activities.
- Provide progress and performance updates on a weekly/monthly basis.
- Record, store, and maintain all formal correspondences related to BIM activities.
- Ensure all received unapproved models by subcontractors are audited and exported using Revit as the local authoring tool.
- Ensure the highest quality for all BIM package submissions in accordance with project standards, requirements, and the BIM execution plan.
- Perform Quality Assurance and Control checks on models and maintain tracking of geometrical and non-geometrical information compliance with the project's BIM requirements.
- Lead internal and attend external coordination meetings.
- Review, monitor, and report the development of clash interference and fully coordinated models.
- Prepare discipline models and/or content for internal reviews and coordination meetings.
- Supervise BIM modelers, collaborate, and coordinate with the design/engineering team for any model challenges.
- Coordinate and review models using Autodesk Revit and Navisworks.
- Coordinate with subcontractors.
- Update model logs and related documents.
- Experience in systems such as Architecture Panels, Ablution and Stool Blocks, Finish Wall Stone, Floor Finish, Precast Architecture Concrete, Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete, Signage, Metal Works, Blockworks, Doors, Joinery Works, Access and Raised Flooring, Furniture, Fitting & Equipment, Landscape, Façade Roofing.
- Experience in Bentley Open Building software.
- Knowledge of BS-EN-ISO-19650 BIM standards.
Minimum Skills or Requirements
- A degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management, or equivalent.
- Minimum 10+ years experience as BIM Architectural Coordinator.
- Demonstrable experience with software such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bentley, MS Project, Excel, MS Word, etc.
- Industry BIM Certification (Revit Professional).
- Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Candidates who are immediately available are preferred.
