Job summary

NCO in Abu Dhabi invites an experienced Architect to develop and deliver high-quality architectural designs that meet client requirements, project objectives, and local codes.

You will coordinate with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders, translate concepts into construction documents using AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp, and ensure sustainability and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop architectural concepts, plans and designs based on client needs and standards.

To develop and deliver high-quality architectural designs that align with client requirements, project objectives, and industry standards, while ensuring accurate translation of design concepts into the construction phase through effective coordination with engineers, contractors, and key stakeholders. The role is critical in maintaining full compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability principles, integrating the latest technologies and best practices, and supporting the organization through comprehensive project documentation, contributions to bids and proposals, and consistent reporting to management.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop architectural concepts, plans, and designs based on client requirements and regulatory standards
• Produce detailed architectural drawings, blueprints, and models using software like AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools
• Ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and align with structural and engineering specifications
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget
• Present design concepts and modifications to clients for approval
• Provide professional advice on materials, sustainability, and environmental impact
• Work closely with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the design is accurately translated into the construction phase
• Review and approve design changes during the construction process
• Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards
• Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation including drawings, specifications, and reports
• Assist in the preparation of bids, tenders, and proposals
• Provide regular updates to the director regarding project status and any issues encountered
• Mentor junior architects and designers, providing guidance and feedback on their work
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall design strategy of the consultancy
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
