Job Overview


The role involves processing patient billing, ensuring accurate coding, and maintaining financial records in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. It requires a strong understanding of medical billing procedures, insurance guidelines, and excellent communication skills to coordinate with patients and insurance providers.

Responsibilities

  1. Review and validate medical records for accuracy and completeness, ensuring no missing documentation.
  2. Provide feedback and training to clinical staff to improve documentation quality and reporting accuracy.
  3. Assign correct ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, DRG, and other relevant codes for diagnoses and procedures.
  4. Assist with external audits by coordinating with auditors and providing accurate records.
  5. Conduct regular internal audits to maintain compliance and improve documentation standards.
  6. Collaborate with physicians to clarify or resolve discrepancies in clinical documentation.
  7. Ensure coding compliance with Department of Health regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management or relevant fields
  • 2-3 years of experience in a hospital or medical center environment within the UAE
  • Strong knowledge of insurance processes, billing cycles, and medical terminology
  • Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding standards
  • Proficient in billing and hospital information systems (e.g., Cerner, Epic, or similar)
