An experienced Arabic Head of Communications is required for a client with a highly diverse, global portfolio. It is expected that you will develop and implement the communications strategy, utilising a team of content and design specialists. Executing formal corporate context for social media, website, intranet and print, you will also have strong relationships with regional and global press and media in order to enhance the organisations presence and make key business announcements. Consulting subject matter experts and internal stakeholders you will have a “right first time” approach and take the time to ensure that the tone and messaging is in line with the organisation’s overall long-term visions and mission statements. Therefore, you will be present in senior meetings to discuss the execution, budget, and gain final approval from the exceptionally focused C-suite team. Identifying opportunities for exposure to gain a stronger market presence, the Head of Communications will be well versed in navigating a diverse global brand and the complexities of such, yet be innovative and modern in the overall strategy delivery, bringing a strong commercial awareness of the market and competitor activity. Project management of all CSR activities will be a large part of this position where you will fully engage with local communities and regional charities, and influence the workforce to motivate them to participate in these efforts. Additionally, the management of crisis communications and emergency PR preparedness is expected. The ability to navigate through highly complex challenges and create messaging and content under immense pressure, yet remain in control and decisive, the Head of Communications will protect the brand on a global scale at all times.
With an excellent fluency and translation ability in both English and Arabic, it is vital that you fully understand the context and tone of the messaging that best fits with the company image. Therefore, we require those who are degree educated with a minimum of 5 years in a senior communications role. Detail orientated and highly creative, you will also take a strategic approach, as the purpose of this position is to further develop the company’s presence and you will be an instrumental part of its success. Native Arabic speakers are preferred as you will be working in both languages and therefore must have the ability to understand the nuances and tone of messaging when translating content.
