Job summary

SEHA SAKINA in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to provide psychological assessments, diagnosis, and counseling across age groups. The role emphasizes evidence-based therapy and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates hold a valid DOH license and are fluent in Arabic and English, with immediate joining preferred to support ongoing mental health services.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree or Doctorate (PhD/PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Valid DOH License as Clinical Psychologist or eligibility for DOH licensing.
• Minimum 3 years of post-qualification clinical experience in a hospital, mental health center, or multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and formulate treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based psychological interventions, including individual, family, and group therapy.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and behavioral issues.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with DOH and SEHA standards.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case discussions, and treatment planning.
• Provide psychoeducation to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Support crisis intervention and risk assessment when required.
• Ensure compliance with all SEHA, DOH, and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development activities.
