Job summary

PowerChina Huadong Engineering Corporation Ltd (HDEC) seeks an experienced Technical Manager Supervisor to provide end-to-end technical support for BESS projects, including bid/contract phases, equipment selection, and commissioning oversight.

The role requires 5+ years in BESS, leadership in overseas projects, and strong English communication to coordinate with international teams. UAE-based or overseas assignments are possible, with travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the BESS industry.
• Experience leading or participating in BESS project development, implementation and management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end technical support during bidding and contract negotiations for BESS projects, including installation and commissioning.
• Review and negotiate EPC contracts, equipment supply agreements and technical schedules.
• Review BESS system solutions, performance indicators and equipment selection.
• Draft and review BESS content in bidding and contract documents.
• Prepare procurement, logistics, hoisting and commissioning plans for BESS projects.

type 1 As the technical manager supervisor provide end-to-end technical support during the bidding and contract negotiation phase of BESS projects covering technical parameters installation and commissioning of BESS equipment Participate in the review and negotiation of EPC contracts equipment supply agreements and technical schedules Conduct technical review of BESS system solutions performance indicators and equipment selection Carry out comprehensive technical coordination with clients supervision teams and equipment manufacturers Draft and review BESS-related technical content within bidding documents and contract documents Prepare and review procurement logistics hoisting and commissioning plans for BESS projects

Educational Background

Bachelor’s degree or above.Major: Electrical Engineering, Energy Storage or other related majors.

Experience Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of working experience in the BESS industry.
• Candidates who have led or participated in BESS project development, implementation and management are preferred.

Professional Competencies

• Strong knowledge of utility-scale BESS architecture and major equipment, including Battery Systems, BMS, PCS, MV Stations, Transformers, EMS/PMS, SCADA, HVAC, Fire Fighting Systems and Auxiliary Systems.
• Strong understanding of BESS sizing, PCS selection, electrical system design, system losses, auxiliary consumption and performance evaluation.
• Familiar with key BESS performance guarantee parameters and testing methodologies
• Familiar with international general technical standards, overseas construction and acceptance specifications for energy storage projects.
• Excellent English reading, writing and communication skills to handle English technical documentation and communicate with overseas stakeholders. Available for overseas business trips or on-site assignment.

Personal Qualities

Strong overall technical planning capability, technical risk control and multi-party communication & coordination skills. Meticulous, responsible and able to work under pressure for overseas projects, with sound awareness of technical and cost control for project delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience serving as technical lead for large-scale overseas BESS EPC projects.
• Familiarity with Grid Codes, technical regulations or project approval requirements in major BESS markets such as Saudi Arabia, UAE, Australia, UK, Europe or the United States.
• Solid experience in bidding proposal preparation and review of technical clauses in international contracts.
• Experience in BESS performance modelling, battery degradation analysis, RTE analysis or Performance Guarantee modelling.
