Fairmont The Palm is a luxury, world-class resort located on the iconic Palm Jumeirah Island in Dubai. The hotel features 391 guest rooms and suites, including Fairmont Gold rooms and lounge. It offers 11 food and beverage outlets with international dining options, including Michelin Guide recommended venues like Little Miss India (2022 and 2023), Frevo - Brazilian Churrasco, Seagrill Bistro, Ba Restaurant and Lounge, Blowfish, Flow Kitchen, The Cigar Room, Vuvuzela, and others. The resort also boasts an expansive pool and beach area, a health club, Serenity Spa Dubai - The Art Of Well Being, and the Fairmont Falcons Kids’ Club.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Supervise bell desk, valet, transportation, and airport operations.
  2. Ensure all deliveries are recorded, documented, and completed courteously and promptly.
  3. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to provide clear directions and information to team members.
  4. Train bell service staff to ensure they have the necessary skills for efficient performance.
  5. Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of equipment daily.
  6. Assist guests with transportation by coordinating with transportation and airport teams.
  7. Keep areas clean and stocked with supplies, including public spaces.
  8. Assist other departments such as housekeeping, valet, and Business Center as needed.
  9. Maintain a safe working environment by reporting and correcting unsafe acts or conditions.
  10. Respond to guest inquiries in person and via phone, providing information about the hotel and local area.
  11. Market and upsell hotel rooms, facilities, and amenities whenever possible.
  12. Schedule weekly bell desk staff shifts and breaks.
  13. Respond positively to guest queries and requests.
  14. Follow all department policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  15. Report and manage "Lost & Found" items.
  16. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  2. Highly organized, results-oriented, flexible, and able to work under pressure.
  3. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  4. Highly responsible and reliable.
  5. Fluency in English; secondary language is a plus.
  6. Minimum of 1 year proven supervisory experience or equivalent in a customer service industry.
  7. Ability to handle multiple tasks and guest requests effectively.
  8. Proficiency in Windows-based computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  9. Knowledge of Opera Property Management System is an asset.
  10. Ability to work cohesively with team members as part of a team.
  11. Ability to focus on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
