Account Executive / BDM (US market)

Job Location: Dubai (DIFC)

Office based (international travel will be necessary)

MishiPay is an international, leading checkout technology company that empowers shoppers to checkout in-store using either self-checkout via their own smartphones or using MishiPay's industry-leading, minimalist, low capital expenditure kiosks. We aim to create an enjoyable and convenient in-store shopping experience for leading retailers globally.

MishiPay now also offers Mobile POS, Click and Collect, and Cash Registers, enabling merchants who start with our self-checkout to eventually run their entire store checkout process on MishiPay. Our technology has proven to reduce costs by requiring fewer cashiers, increase sales through improved basket sizes, higher shopper visit frequency, and reduced abandoned baskets. Additionally, our retailers gain access to valuable customer data, providing insights into the customer journey in their physical stores.

The Role

Our key growth markets are the US and EMEA. We are seeking motivated individuals to make an impact within our talented, driven team. This role will focus on the USA, targeting retailers within this territory, and requires someone with prior US-focused experience as an AE/BDM within a tech business, ideally POS/retail technology.

About You

You MUST have experience targeting enterprise clients in North America, selling technology/SaaS products, ideally to retailers. It is essential that you can conduct technical business conversations in English, and your written communication skills are equally important. You should thrive in a startup environment, be adaptable to pace and change, and have a proven track record of generating revenue in a similar setting.

You will be driven, energetic, and capable of business planning to meet targets, developing relationships, and increasing revenue. Your communication skills should allow you to explain our products clearly, concisely, and persuasively.

Responsibilities
  1. Managing and growing customer accounts, building long-term relationships with retailers.
  2. Meeting sales targets and KPIs.
  3. Explaining MishiPay's technology to potential US customers at all levels, both technical and non-technical.
  4. Conducting market research on competitors and similar retail in-house products.
  5. Managing your sales administration processes.
  6. Collaborating with the international team throughout the sales cycle to maximize success.
Additional Skills and Experience
  • A technical mindset with strong commercial acumen, capable of technical discussions with potential customers.
  • A proven success rate of net revenue increase >100% YOY.
  • Experience or knowledge of the retail industry, especially in-store retail technology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive with good time management skills to meet targets.
  • Engineering/problem-solving mindset based on past experiences.
  • Willingness to work long hours required in a startup environment and a passion for achieving ambitious goals.
  • Ability to manage existing relationships and grow existing clients.
  • Technical background preferred.
