Job description

Job Purpose:
To manage end-to-end bid management process including proposal development, pricing strategy, and tender submissions alongside the Regional BD Lead.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Manage business development and commercials across the Middle East region, supporting the Regional BD Lead in driving strategic growth initiatives and expanding market presence within the facilities management sector.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through market research, client engagement, and competitive pricing analysis.
  • Manage end-to-end bid management process including proposal and solution development, pricing strategy and tender submissions in line with the respective markets.
  • Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in another department to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve the issues.
  • Negotiate high-value contracts and commercial agreements, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and profitability targets.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, finance, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and contract execution.
  • Monitor market trends, client needs, and competitor activity to adapt go-to-market strategies and drive sustainable revenue growth.
  • Support internal forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting to inform senior leadership decisions.
  • To manage the contributions of others supporting the bid to ensure timely delivery of best quality responses.
  • Use innovative means to develop new sources of profitable business.
  • Preparing and issuing predefined reports for both internal and external customers.
  • Undertake any other duties as requested by the Regional Business Development Lead or MD
  • Attendance at tender site visits, client meetings and preparation of presentations where necessary
  • Raise the company profile by organizing (and where necessary, representing CBRE Excellerate at) industry events, networking events and promoting an image of professionalism at all times.
  • Build relationships with operational managers and support functions
  • Assisting with preparation of materials for marketing events, presentations and client meetings
  • Active preparation of cost models (S1) for FM deals
  • Coordination and work closely with CBRE Global Verticals/Central BTO/Solutions/Business
  • Development Manager, Self-Perform Team, Operations as well as procurement, legal, finance to support locally in UAE and ME countries

Nature of role:

  • Primarily office based and internally facing although there may be some meetings with clients, where appropriate
  • Out of hours work may be required to meet tight deadlines as set by customers
  • All work and opportunities are to be treated as highly confidential

Person Specification and Key Competencies:

  • Education: Good basic education to GCSE (or equivalent standard), which will include English and Maths qualification. Higher educational qualifications in Engineering would be beneficial.
  • Training: Very proficient in the use of Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Experience of Sales, Business Development and bid preparation / management.
  • Experience: Experience of a similar role in a medium-sized business. Well-developed communication skills enabling the individual to work with Senior Managers, clients, suppliers, and staff of all levels and abilities.
  • Aptitudes: Excellent command of the English language demonstrated through good verbal and written communication. Must be detail conscious, accurate and methodical in approach. Strong organisational and communication skills. Able to work systematically and use own initiative. Able to work on more than one task at any given time. Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Character: Must demonstrate a strong sense of customer focus and promote a sense of team spirit and good moral within the office. Confidential approach and discrete. Must be able to influence others, and engender confidence in senior managers through both face-to-face, telephone and written communication. Reliable, able to complete work within required time frame and manage own deadline requirements. Calm manner able to work under pressure and against rapidly changing demands and priorities. Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing support to other areas of the business on occasions, as required.
  • Success Criteria Completes work within required time frame and delivers against critical cut off dates. Timely and accurate preparation of correspondence, reports and other administrative documents.
  • Circumstances Must be flexible to work outside core office hours from time to time, and to travel on occasions to other work locations.
